Dr Thea King
Senior Food Safety Science Officer
Dr Thea King joined the New South Wales Food Authority in 2018 as a member of the Science Team. The Science Team is responsible for research, risk assessments and food surveys to support the development of scientifically sound policies and procedures to ensure the effective regulation of food industries in NSW. Prior to joining the Food Authority, Dr King was a Research Microbiologist with the CSIRO Food Safety and Stability Group for over a decade. During this time, her main research focus was understanding how foodborne pathogens survive, persist and are transmitted through the food chain.
